About this development
Construction of the DNG Energy 1 000MW power facility using Open Cycle Gas Turbine (OCGT) and/or reciprocating engine and associated infrastructure on Portions 1, 4 and 116 of Farm Malelane 389 FP, which is situated approximately 2km away from the Kruger National Park and 18km away from Matsulu Township in Mpumalanga. The scope of works also include above ground gas pipeline from the existing Republic of Mozambique Pipeline Company (ROMPCO) gas pipeline to the power plant, and the above ground storage tanks with a capacity of 500m³ and bulk storage facility and approximately 2km 132 kV overhead power line from the proposed power plant to the existing Eskom Khanyazwe substation. The GPS co-ordinates for portion 1 of the farm Malelane 389FP are 25°30'17.4"S 31°30'35.9"E
