About this development
Mombasa’s Kilindi Port, in Kenya, has embarked on implementing ambitious development programmes. These activities include extension of berth 18, conversion of berths 11 -14 to container berths, dredging of the channel, construction of the second container terminal, expansion and upgrading of ICT systems, acquisition of new equipment, continuous training of staff and rendering support to government efforts to construct Lamu port. Kenyan government plans to invest $2 billion over the next 10 years to expand the port.
