About this development
Titanium and Ilmenite mine along lines of Richards Bay Minerals called Moma Mineral Sands Project in Mozambique. Includes the installation of a floating concentrator plant, a dry-separation plant, a roaster, an electrical generation and transmission facility, an accommodation village and related infrastructure, such as access roads. Bateman and Multiplex have created the joint venture to facilitate the development of the mine. While the EIB has approved a loan of e55 million (R423 million) and the ADB has agreed to lend Kenmare $40 million (R260 million) for the project, the remaining lenders need the construction contract before taking it to their boards.
