About this development
The Moiyabana Coal project is located about 70km from the Morupule Colliery and 50 km from existing rail infrastructure, in central east Botswana. The project consists of two prospecting licences, covering a total of 593 km², which lies within the south-east Central Kalahari. The project has an estimated coal exploration target of between 1.4 billion tons and 1.65 billion tons of in situ coal, which could be defined over at 140m² area of which 660 million tons has the potential for opencast mining.
