Modifications to the smelter infrastructure at the Crocodile River Mine, (CRM) Zandfontein. The Eastplats Crocodile River Mine is currently operational on portions 16, 20, 55, 58, 59, 61, 135, 144,155,156 and the remaining extent of portion 18 of the farm Zandfontein 447 JQ which is situated in the jurisdiction area of the Madibeng Local Municipality, North West Province. CRM is currently investigating two options: Option 1: Phase 1: Refurbish the existing old furnaces in the existing smelter. Phase 2: Expand the existing smelter through the construction of new furnaces. Option 2: Phase 1: Demolish the current old furnaces within the existing smelter infrastructure. Phase 2: Construct new furnaces within the existing smelter infrastructure.
