About this development
Construction of a 28 300 m² shopping centre, to be known as Melrose Arch Piazza. Phase one is 23 000m² and phase two is 5 300m² The anchor tenant for Phase one being, a three-level flagship Woolworths store. Phase one will also contain a first for South Africa, the two-level Foschini Store with the traditional clothing store filling the upper level and the lower level comprising of the @home store. The anchor tenant for Phase two will be Edgars. Melrose Arch Piazza is located at Melrose Arch, in Gauteng and will have approximately 16 000 parking bays. A phase three is planned for last quarter of 2009 which will include another 75 000m² of retail, hotel and leisure space valued at R2.5 billion.
