About this development
Atterbury and golfing legend, Jack Nicklaus, are developing the first-ever Jack Nicklaus signature design golf course within a Big Five Game Reserve. The planned Meletse Big five reserve and golf estate is located 70km west of Bela Bela (Warmbaths) - 2½ hours drive from Johannesburg, in Limpopo. The malaria-free Meletse valley has a diverse variety of indigenous trees and wildlife, vast plains, natural waterholes and rivers and spectacular mountain ranges. The golf course development will guarantee exclusivity and membership is limited to Meletse owners. Meletse golf estate will comprise of 413 full title golf course stands ranging between 5 000m² and 10 000m², 74 full title golf lodges as well as 24 bush lodges. These secluded bush lodges are located some distance away from the golf course. There are also nineteen exclusive 500ha managed private game farms within the 16 000ha Big Five reserve.
