About this development
Upgrading of the McGregor water treatment works, located on Voortrekker Street, McGregor, Western Cape. The project value is R 49 088 971,92. Scope of works: Civil and structural works: Construction of a 20m long, 11m wide building to house the new water treatment works including 6m high portal frames, cladding, brickwork, concrete works, etc. Plinths for mechanical equipment at the WTW site. Interconnecting pipework and valves between the WTW and existing pipes. Mechanical and electrical Works: Supply and installation of various pumps and blowers for the WTW including the filter feed pumps, existing reservoir feed pumps, backwash pumps, supernatant return pumps and air scour blowers. Supply and installation of piping valves and other associated infrastructure. Supply and installation of filter media within rapid gravity sand filters. Control instrumentation, cabling, MCC and other electrical items. The GPS co-ordinates are 33°57'20.3"S 19°49'09.3"E
