Construction of Ward 30 Contract 2 of the Mbizana Ward 29 & 30 water supply scheme near Mbizana, Alfred Nzo District Municipality, Eastern Cape. The project value is R31 617 690,61. The scope of work includes site establishment; clearing and grubbing; excavation of trenches to a maximum depth of approximately 2m for the installation of pipelines; and the laying of approximately 22km of pipelines ranging in diameter from 50mm to 200mm, using PVC-M and HDPE materials. The works further include the installation of marker posts along the pipeline route, construction of valves and associated works, disinfection and commissioning of the pipelines, as well as cleaning and rehabilitation of the site. The exact co-ordinates are unknown and the marker has been placed at the Nomlacu WTW 30°50'16.4"S 29°46'20.4"E.
