About this development
Development of a new processing plant, the Matimba Brownfields Expansion Project, at their Grootegeluk Mine located approximately 20km west of Lephalale, Limpopo Province. The purpose of the project is to increase the production capacity of the Grootegeluk Mine to provide coal for the proposed new Eskom coal-fired power station located in the vicinity of the existing Matimba power station near the Grootegeluk Mine.
