About this development
Construction of Mandlakazi Phase 5 Water Treatment Works in northern KwaZulu-Natal. The scope of works includes: The upgrade of the Mandlakazi Water Treatment works to an initial capacity of 20MI/day, upgradable to 30MI/day, including 2no clariflocculators, rapid gravity filters, an additional 1 ML clear water reservoir, backwash recovery tank, backwash reservoir, chemical store and chlorine building, offices and dormitories, and associated works. The project also includes for the upgrade of the existing abstraction, raw water pump station and DN350 raw water rising main refurbishment to the capacity of 10MI/day, with associated civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works.
