Construction of the Maluti Ramohlakoana bulk water supply Phase 2, Contract 2 at Matatiele, Eastern Cape. Value of the project: R36 206 624.34 Phase 2, contract 2 entails the construction of bulk rising main and gravity main pipelines terminating at existing 2,5Ml and the proposed 5Ml and the gravity main terminating at 700kl existing intermediate reservoir. Construction of 22,860km bulk rising main pipelines, consisting of pipelines ranging between minimum of 75mm and 355mm of uPVC pipes class 12. Construction of 3,864.41km bulk gravity main pipelines, consisting of pipelines ranging between minimum of 90mm and 250mm of uPVC pipes class 9. Installation of 31 air valves at all apex points. The works includes installation of all valve fittings and construction of valve chamber. Installation of 13 scour valves at low points. Installation of 5 non-returnable valves in all connection points where the pumping main pipelines are joining and construction of concrete and gabion works at water stream crossings.
