Construction of a dam on the Makhaleng River for the Lesotho-Botswana Water Transfer (L-BWT) Project. The Makhaleng Dam will be located in the Mafeteng District of the Lesotho Lowlands. The dam serves as the starting point for the Lesotho-Botswana Water Transfer Project, which will move water over 700km through South Africa to reach Botswana. The dam is designed to be a 124-metre to 140-metre high concrete arch dam and expected to provide a total annual yield of approximately 310 million cubic metres. The structure is estimated to contain roughly 835,000 cubic metres of concrete.
