About this development
Development of the proposed new M5 Shaft Project at Aquarius's Marikana Platinum Mine near Rustenburg in the North West Province. The proposed project is being undertaken as part of the Pooling and Sharing Agreement between RPM-RS and AQPSA and this will effectively maintain the life of Marikana Mine to 2020. The project is located approximately 25 kilometres east of Rustenburg and will comprise two vertical shaft systems, 2 ventilation shafts, a waste rock dump, conveyor system and various surface infrastructure and facilities.
