Construction of the Quedas & Ocua hydro power plants (or potentially Lurio 1) located on the Lurio River in the Nacala area of the Nampula province of Mozambique. It is expected to deliver 178 megawatts of installed capacity when taken as one development. The Lurio River covers an area of 60 800 km² and has a mean annual flow of 227 m²/s. The project is for Electricidade de Mozambique (EDM), Mozambique's public energy utility at an estimated cost of US$480 million.
