About this development
Construction of Lukwethu bulk regional water supply Phase 2, Contract 11 near Mthatha in O.R. Tambo District Municipality, Eastern Cape. Value of R25 466 902.15. Phase 2 is an extension of Phase 1 and will be supplied from the bulk infrastructure constructed under Mqanduli Secondary Bulk. The water source will be the existing Mthatha River abstraction and WTW. This Contract intends to complete the supply to communities of Ward 28, the construction of all the reticulation mains to standpipes into two villages, Ngqumane and Ngwevane, providing them with potable water. The scope includes the supply and laying of village water reticulation consisting of the following diameters and approximate lengths: Approximately 19,0km HDPE, 50 to 75 mm diameter, PN 10 & PN 12,5 and approximately 11,0km uPVC, 90 to 200mm diameter, Class 9 as well as the supply and installation / construction of 102 standpipes.The exact co-ordinates are unknown the marker has been placed at Myezo Park 31°36'13.53"S 28°44'28.74 E
