Construction of Lotsane Dam in Tswapong North, Botswana, which will be constructed at a cost of P5 million will be situated between Maunatlala and Matolwane. It is one of the four dams that have been allocated money for construction. Lotsane dam is situated 7 km upstream of Maunatlala village and will have a capacity of 42 million cubic meters. Lotsane Dam will supply 16 villages among them Lerala, Maunatlala, Seleka/Malete, Mogapi, Seolwane, Kgagodi, Tamasane, Ratholo, Diloro, Mokokwana/Mosweu and Mogapinyana. The earth fill dam will be 1,4km long and 30m high, with a reinforced concrete intake tower, pump station for potable and irrigation water, a water treatment plant and 6km irrigation water supply pipeline and administration buildings. Estimated project value: P750 million.
