About this development
The project involves the construction, development and operation of a greenfield Container Handling Terminal within the existing Port of Lomé which lies on the Gulf of Guinea on the the Atlantic Coast of West Africa. The project consists of the construction of a sand barrier and a harbour basin with several berths and a large yard for stacking the containers. The construction of this infrastructure will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will consist of the construction of a 1,050 m long quay wall with three docking stations on the land side, a 1315 m long quay wall on the sea side and terrain improvement activities for the container storage (220,000 m²). The project is estimated to cost 350 million Euros.
