About this development
Construction of the proposed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal at the Richards Bay Port within Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. CIDB 9CE. The proposed terminal will occupy a footprint of approximately 15.8ha and will consist of 45 storage tanks which will store liquid petroleum gas (LPG), and a mix of clean petroleum products (CPP) and chemicals. The storage capacity of the tanks envisaged for the proposed terminal range from 1 000m³ to 20 000m³. The proposed terminal will be developed in a phased manner with the initial phase providing approximately 36 000m³ of storage capacity, and further phases providing up to 264 000m³ additional storage capacity. Once completed, the proposed terminal will have a total storage capacity of approximately 300 000 m³. The terminal is proposed on Lots 4 and 5 of Portion 3 of Erf 11478 of the South Dunes Precinct of the Port of Richards Bay. Estimated GPS Coordinates: -28.790249619102063, 32.048358948452524
