About this development
Construction of the Bestwood Estate, on a 200ha portion of the farm Bestwood no 459 RD, situated adjacent to the N14 National road and opposite the entrance to Kathu from the N14, in the Northern Cape. The development planned at Bestwood will be a phased development driven by demand. The project will be developed as 7 extensions over an anticipated 5 year development period at a projected development cost of approximately R1.6 billion. On completion the project will comprise of the following: 2935 x Single residential erven (Res 1 and 2); 9 x Sectional title apartment sites (Res 3); 2 x School sites (Crèche, primary school); 6 x Places of Worship sites; 8 x Guest House plus 2 Guest Lodge / Hospitality sites; 1 x Institutional site (Municipal Offices / Police / Post Office & Community hall); 1 x Sport facilities; 8 x Commercial / motor showroom sites plus 7 typical corner shop sites; 3 x Filing station / motor related and other commercial sites; 1 x Retail Shopping Centre site. This development was previously known as Bestwood Estate.
