Lansdowne Regional Mall

Construction of a 30,000m² retail shopping complex in Philippi/Guguletu in the Western Cape. To be known as The Lansdowne Mall (Regional). The centre will be located on two major arterials, Lansdowne Road and Jan Smuts Drive/Strandfontein Road. The mall has two double volume side entrances that are naturally ventilated and lit spaces that take shoppers directly to the major retailers in the centre. The middle entrance is also the food court – at the junction of the side malls – and forms an inside/outside dwell area for the centre. The benefit of this layout is that the restaurants can be directly accessed from the convenience parking and can trade independently from the mall. Estimated project value: R450 million.
