Project overview
About this development
Development of a Landfill Gas Utilisation Plant for five sites within Gauteng. The Landfill Gas Utilisation Plant utilises methane gas found in the mixture of gases of landfill gas, in the production of electricity. Marie Louise Landfill Site is located on Dobsonville Drive in Roodepoort to the North West of Johannesburg, in Gauteng. The site is approximately 450m long from North to South and 500m wide from East to West. The Marie Louise Landfill Site is predicted to provide gas to generate up to six-Megawatts of electricity. Ener-G Systems propose to install a two-Megawatt plant to monitor the gas yield from the site to determine gas reserves, whereby it will be increased to maximise electricity generation.
