Project overview
About this development
Development of a Landfill Gas Utilisation Plant for five sites within Gauteng. The Landfill Gas Utilisation Plant utilises methane gas found in the mixture of gases of landfill gas, in the production of electricity. The Linbro Park Landfill Site is located on Marlboro Drive in Sandton to the north east of Johannesburg, in Gauteng. It is a long narrow site, approximately 1 500m long and 300m wide. The Linbro Park Landfill Site is predicted to provide gas to generate up to four-Megawatts of electricity. Ener-G Systems propose to install a two-Megawatt plant to monitor the gas yield from the site to determine gas reserves. Ener-G Systems will monitor the gas availability for a period of three months. Should gas availability be stable, Ener-G Systems will install additional generators to maximise electricity generation.
