About this development
Construction of the Lanark Solar Photovoltaic Energy Facility and associated infrastructure located on a 100-hectare area of the remaining extent of the farm Lanark 199-LS, near Masehlong and Ga-phagodi, Limpopo Province. The solar plant will generate an estimated ±100-Megawatt per hour of renewable energy which will be divided into two ±50 Megawatt phases. The infrastructure associated with the facility includes: solar PV array comprising PV panels and mounting structures, onsite facility substation, Operations & Maintenance building, which will include a site security office, warehouse, storage area and workshop, main access road (existing – to be upgraded with hard surface) and internal gravel roads.
