Construction of a 400kV transmission line from Lamu to Nairobi East and new 4 x 300MVA, 400/220kV Nairobi East substation in Kenya. The project is divided into 3 Lots: Lot A - Construction of approximately 200Km 400kV double circuit line from Kitui to Nairobi East, construction of approximately 20Km 220kV double circuit line from Lamu Power to existing Lamu (Hindi) substation; Lot B - Construction of approximately 320Km 400kV double circuit line from Lamu to Kitui substation and Lot C - Construct a new 4x300MVA, 400/220kV substation complete with protection, communication, control facilities and associated automation system at Nairobi East and extension of existing Lamu (Hindi) 220kV substation.
