About this development
Construction of the Kudu Solar Facility 10 photovoltaic power generation facility, north-east of the town of De Aar in the Renosterberg Local Municipality and Pixley Ka Seme District Municipality, in the Northern Cape. The project is located approximately 50km from De Aar and 25km from Petrusville. The solar facility will have a contracted capacity of up to 150MW and will cover approximately 120ha. The facility will comprise of PV modules and mounting structures to a height of approximately 3.5m. Auxiliary Buildings - these include, but are not limited to, operation and maintenance building / centre, site office, workshop, staff lockers, bathrooms/ablutions, warehouses, guard houses, etc. Battery energy storage system (BESS). Access roads including upgrading and widening of existing roads. Internal roads. Fencing around the perimeter. Storm water channels. Panel cleaning and maintenance area. Work area during the construction phase (i.e. laydown area). The exact coordinates are not known however the marker has been placed within the project area 30°10'33.7"S 24°22'40.1"E
