About this development
Construction of the Kora II solar energy facility on portion 0 of Farmersfield Farm no. 572 approximately 28km south-west of Danielskuil and 30km east of Postmasburg in the Tsantsabane Local Municipality, Northern Cape. The facility will comprise of solar panel technology, mono and bifacial photovoltaic modules (up to 5m in height), mounting system technology, single axis tracking, dual axis tracking or fixed axis tracking PV, a battery energy storage system (BESS) comprising of several utility scale battery modules and associated infrastructure such as access road/s to the site and internal roads between project components of up to 12m and 10m respectively, temporary and permanent laydown areas required for temporary storage and assembly of components and materials, temporary staff accommodation and laydown area, telecommunication infrastructure, stormwater channels, water pipelines and will have a footprint of approximately 360.669ha. It will have a contracted capacity of up to 280MW The GPS marker has been placed at Portion 0 of Farmersfield Farm No 572 28°23'59.2"S 23°15'27.6"E
