Project overview
About this development
Sable Mining has a significant interest in a 123.5 km² exploration permit in the Mount Nimba area of south-east Guinea in West Africa. The project stretches over three plateau with a total combined aerial extent delineated of approximately 35km² and is adjacent to the 600 million tonne EuroNimba iron ore project. It is located approximately 30km from a multi-user standard gauge railway with spare capacity, which extends 260km from Nimba to the deep water port on the Liberian coast at Port Buchanan. With a mineral resource of 135.5Mt at an in-situ grade of 59.4% iron (‘Fe’) estimated at a Fe cut-off of 40% from prospects Plateau 2 and Plateau 3, Nimba is distinguishing itself as one of the most commercially attractive undeveloped iron ore assets in West Africa. Project was formerly known as Nimba. Estimated Project cost: S$2.77 billion. The exact co-ordinates are currently not available however the approximate area of location is lat: -6.432222199999999; long: 146.9436111.
