About this development

Construction of a wind energy facility to generate approximately 300 megawatts of electricity near Komsberg in the Western Cape. The proposed wind farm would consist of 120 x 2.5mw turbines and a new substation would be constructed. The proposed project will take place on portion 2 of Farm Aanstoot No 72, remainder of portion 1 of the Farm Leeuwenvalley No 50, Farm Leeuwenfontein No 71, Farm Aurora No 285 and Farm April's Kraal No 105. The total area under consideration is approximately 8 500ha.
