The first aspect will be the aeronautical footprint, the La Mercy Shaka International Airport, which will include a four-million-passenger-a-year terminal, runway, air-traffic control tower, fuel farm and related infrastructure. The second will be the trade zone, with full customs and excise facilities and bonded (sealed) areas. The two components make up the Dube Trade-Port. The Tradeport itself, including the airport, it is expected to cost R6.8 billion.
