Kinanie Leather Industrial Park, Kenya

Establishment of Kinanie Leather Industrial Park at Athi River in Kenya. The Leather Park is to be a modern, mixed-use Industrial Park development geared towards creating and enabling environment for the promotion, attraction and facilitation of investments in Kenya’s Leather Sector. The Park will be funded fully by the private sector at an estimated cost of KES 17 billion with Government providing land and necessary infrastructure. The industrial park will occupy 500 acres of land which will house tanneries, a training centre, common manufacturing facilities, chemical storage and distribution units, leather goods accessories units and a common Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
