Construction of the 55MW Kheis Solar Park 2. Gestamp Asetym Solar South Africa (Pty) Ltd is proposing to establish a commercial Photovoltaic Solar Energy Park with a total generating capacity of 225 MW to be developed in 3 separate phases of 75MW each. The phases are referred to as: Kheis Solar Park 1; Kheis Solar Park 2; Kheis Solar Park 3. The sites are located approximately 70km south-east of Upington, in the Northern Cape. Due to the sensitivities of the site location, the size of this Kheis Solar Park 2 was brought down to 55MW. The exact co-ordinates are currently not available however the marker has been placed on Farm Namakwari 656, 28°31'40.1"S 21°03'35.6"E
