About this development
The Kagiso integrated housing development will involve the construction of 9315 residential units and will comprise a mix of subsidised, non subsidised and rental units. The aim is to establish an integrated and sustainable settlement within the parameters of the National Department of Housing's Breaking New Ground policy. The site comprises of the following farm portions: Site A: Portion 43 of the farm Rietvallei No. 241 IQ, Site B: The remainder of the farm Kagiso No. 402 IQ, Site C: The remainder of the farm Kagiso No. 273 IQ, Site D: Portion 16 of the farm Kagiso No 273 IQ. The proposed site is located adjacent to the greater Kagiso area, within jurisdiction of Mogale City Municipality in the West Rand. Site A is located directly south of the R41,while site B is located directly north of the R41, site C is north of Randfontein Road and Site D is north of the P42-1 and east of Kagiso. The project will cost R1,27 billion. Chief Mogale Extension 2 abd 3 form part of the development.
