The project entails the expansion of sugar cane milling capacity from 120t crushed an hour to 200t crushed an hour at the Kagera Sugar Mill in Tanzania, East Africa. It includes the expansion of power generation capacity from 5MW to 16MW, the installation of centre pivot irrigation systems on 2600ha of the sugar plantation and increasing sugar production from 50 000 t/y to 120 000 t/y.
