K6 Shaft Complex at Kroondal Mine

Development of a new shaft complex and extension of the existing railway line at the Kroondal Mine of Aquarius Platinum SA in Rustenburg in the North West Province. This will be in a Pooling and Sharing agreement with Rustenburg Platinum mines. The shaft complex, called the K6 shaft, will consist of a new shaft, ventilation shafts, waste rock dump and associated infrastructure. The railway extension will be a siding (1300m) from the existing railway line to the K2 plant, known as K2 Railway siding. Estimated project value : R500 million.
