About this development
The Kenya Airports Authority plans to build a second runway at JKIA to transform the airport into a world-class facility. The new runway is designed to ease the pressure on the existing runway and nearly double the movement of aircraft from 25 to 45 an hour. According to the design, the new Category 2 runway conforms to international standard and will by 4.8km and 75m wide. The GPS co-ordinates are -1.3227102, 36.92606929999999
