About this development
This proposed project will secure power supply for the four Mano river countries - Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea and is one of the Priority Projects of the WAPP Master Plan. The project will include the construction of about 1411km of high voltage transmission line; the extension of a new high-voltage substation in Man, in Ivory Coast, new high-voltage substations in Yekepa, Buchanan, Monrovia and Mano in Liberia, new high-voltage substations in Nzerekore and Linsan in Guinea, new high voltage substations in Kenema, Bikongor, Bumbuna, Yiben and Kamakwie in Sierra Leone and the rehabilitation of two 66 kV transmission lines in Monrovia. Total project cost is estimated at 323 million Euros. The exact co-ordinates are currently not available however the entire project area of location is 7.406427499999999, -7.557223100000001
