About this development
The Main Objective of the Project is to Improve the Water Supply and Sanitation Services in Nakuru Town and Parts of the neighboring Areas of Rongai, Molo, Elburgon and Kuresoi within the Service Area of the Rift Valley Water Services Board. The proposed Developments may include: Construction of Itare Dam; Construction of Bulk Transfer Tunnel; Construction of Bulk Transfer Pipelines; Construction of Treatment Works; Construction of Bulk Distribution Mains and Reservoirs, and; Development of Sanitation Facilities. The IItare dam will be the largest dam in the country holding up to 28 million cubic meters of water. Estimated project value: KSH 35 billion.
