About this development
The project involves the construction of an international airport, in Isiolo county, 285 km north of Nairobi in Kenya. It will feature a new 34m wide, 1.4km long runway and it will have two taxiways and three aprons for aircraft to park and refuel. Another runway stretching into the Nyambene county council is being considered, with passenger terminal and control towers to be located in Isiolo. The project will costs $7 million.
