Project overview

About this development

Construction works for the Integrated Rapid Public Transport Network project, Denneboom Main Intermodal Facility, WP03, Modules 3 & 4 (4 berths) for the Denneboom Precinct, Gauteng. Tsamaya Avenue is currently a 4-lane dual carriageway road (2-lanes in each carriageway separated by a median). The future plan is to taper the BRT lanes to the east and west of the Intermodal facility into a single BRT lane that will constitute Line 2D and Line 4 respectively with the mixed traffic lanes on each carriageway continuing through. The centre median will be widened to 10m to allow for the construction of the Intermodal Station under WP02 and WP03. This would mean that the layerworks for the existing roadway will have to be reconstructed to the BRT layerworks specifications and the mixed traffic lanes and sidewalks will have to be constructed on virgin ground within the existing 62m road servitude. The GPS coordinates are -25.7170809, 28.3365184
