Construction of an interconnection line from Kigoma substation in Rwanda to Gitega substation in Burundi in Central Africa. The Government of Burundi and the Government of Rwanda have received a loan from the Federal Republic of Germany through the Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KfW) and from the European Union (for Burundi) towards the cost of the Project.
