Construction of a mixed used development within a game reserve to be known as The Hilcove Hills development on two contiguous properties, erf 10119, Pietermaritzburg and portion of erf 506 Ashburton, KwaZulu-Natal which are situated on vacant land to the north of the N3 highway and between the Pietermaritzburg suburb of Bellevue to the west and the residential area of Ashburton to the east. The proposed development will consist of 475 housing units, 290 conventional housing units, 589 lifestyle village housing units, frailcare suites and facilities, private hospital, a primary school, 4 community facilities, equestrian centre, general business district of 7.88 ha, limited business district of 7.4 ha, office park of 21.62 ha, a lodge, chapel, conference centre, wellness centre and spa, and the necessary infrastructure of private and public roads, water and electricity supply and a waste water treatment works.
