About this development
The Petroleum, Oil and Gas Corporation of South Africa (PetroSA) is planning to undertake a new field development in Block 9 of the central Bredasdorp Basin, approximately 100km off the southern coast of the Western Cape of South Africa. The F-O Development is a high pressure, high temperature gas field located approximately 40km south east of the existing F-A Platform, to which it is expected to be connected via a subsea tie-back. This will allow processing and onward transportation of the produced hydrocarbons to PetroSA's gas to liquids (GTL) manufacturing plant in Mossel Bay, as is the case with the existing F-A Platform and subsea developments. The scope of work is for the provision of subsea pipe lay, fabrication and subsea installation, services for the project and presently planned to consist of: Project management and engineering; Procurement; Fabrication; Offshore pipe lay; Pipeline flooding, cleaning, gauging and testing; Installation and tie-in of subsea structures, umbilicals and flexible risers; Pre commissioning of pipelines and control umbilical systems.
