Upgrade of the Gumbi Water Supply Scheme in the Gumbi area, Pongola, KwaZulu-Natal. Value of R47 897 697.83. The scope of work could include the construction of 750m of 200mm diameter HDPE pipeline with 6500m of 200mm diameter PVC-O rising pipeline; associated valves, chambers and fittings, new floating raw water abstraction pump station with two submersible pumps; installation of two new high-lift raw water pumps. Mechanical and electrical works to upgrade and optimise the Gumbi water treatment works production to 1,5ML/day, new centrifugal pumps and associated civil works, construction of 8500m of 140mm diameter u-PVC rising main to Hlambanyathi and Gumbi Extension. The GPS marker has been placed at the site 27°27'53.8"S 31°54'40.0"E.
