About this development
Construction of Grootpan, Sias, Longden Garamaswikana and Ga-Mmamoleka rural water supply Phase 3 for North Cluster Reservoir Complex in the Capricorn District Municipality, Limpopo. Project Value: R36 523 735,27. The project site is located approximately 60km north east of Polokwane. It is positioned on the eastern side of the N1 from Polokwane to Louis Trichardt. The project includes the construction of a 2ML concrete command reservoir, a 300KL raw water sump, and a 2.2ML/day package water treatment plant. Borehole pumping plants will be developed at Sias (2 boreholes) and Longden (1 borehole), along with necessary pump houses and equipment. Additional infrastructure includes offices, guardhouses, a 5.25KL jojo tank with a stand, a septic tank and soakaway and a wastewater pond. A stormwater drainage system and a sewer system with sewer pipes, a septic tank, and a soakaway will be installed. Security measures include an anti-climb clear view mesh electric fence and a 5m gate, while accessibility improvements involve the construction of an access road to the reservoir site. The central GPS co-ordinates of the project area is 22°47'28.03"S 28°51'37.69"E.
