About this development
Construction of a windfarm approximately 30km outside of Grahamstown along the N2 in an easterly direction towards East London, in the Eastern Cape. The proposed site is on the farms Gilead, Tower Hill and Peynes Kraal. The proposed wind farm will have 14 turbines, each with a nominal power output ranging between 2 and 3 MW (mega watts). The total potential generating capacity of the wind farm will be approximately 67.5 MW, and will feed power into the national electricity grid. Approximate area of GPS 33°17'00.0"S 26°50'00.0"E
