About this development
Construction of Burundi's first utility-scale solar field. It entails the development and management of 7.5MW solar PV field on a 15 ha site in the Gitega region about 104km from the capital of Bujumbura. The facility will produce enough electricity to supply 60 000 households and will increase Burundi's electricity generation by 15% The total cost of the project is estimated at US$20 million.
