About this development
The Gope deposit has a resource of 20,5 million carats with an average on site value of R3,3 billion. The Gope Project Site is located within the Ghanzi District in Botswana. The town of Ghanzi is the district capital and is located approximately 339 km from the project site. The first step to access the ore body, will involve the construction of a mining decline. A box cut will be developed for the decline shaft, to serve as the portal. Once the decline has been developed, the ore body will be accessed by horizontal tunnels. Estimated project value for Phase 1 : $96 million.
