Project overview

About this development

The Gautrain station at the OR Tambo International Airport (ORTIA) will be located within the airport terminal complex, in Gauteng. The ORTIA is one of the three corner posts of the Gautrain rail network. The Gautrain airport link on the west-east route will connect passengers directly from Sandton to a station built within the airport terminal complex. From Marlboro Station the east-west spine crosses the northern boundary of the Linbro Park landfill site, past the Linbro Park Agricultural Holdings and across the Modderfontein property before connecting to the existing rail corridor, serving the Kelvin Power Station and the Spartan/Isando industrial area. The Gautrain Sandton-ORTIA route then passes the Rhodesfield Station and continues to the terminal at the airport.
