About this development
Construction of the Gamka photovoltaic solar energy facility located on the Remaining Extent (Portion 0) of Farm 423 approximately 12km south-east of Beaufort West, Western Cape. The solar PV facility will comprise of PV modules and mounting structures, inverters and transformers, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), site and internal access roads (up to 8m wide), auxiliary buildings (33kV switch room, gatehouse and security, control centre, office, warehouse, canteen & visitors centre, staff lockers etc.) perimeter fencing and security infrastructure, rainwater tanks and temporary and permanent laydown areas and will have a contracted capacity of up to 120MW and will cover approximately 261ha. The GPS has been estimated at Farm 423 32°23'41.8"S 22°41'32.3"E
